Etude à l'huile
Etude à l'huile d'après le travail de Odd Nerdrum. Pour cette étude (et les suivante) j'utilise un medium maison qui me permet de modifier l'aspect, la consistance et le tirant de la peinture.

Suicide god
Il s''agit d'un enssemble de photographies numériques, ensuite manipulées sous photoshop (collage, modification, etc), puis augmenter d'éléments en peinture numérique. Cette photo sera probablement l'objet d'un tirage argent dans quelque mois (en kallitypie), que j'essaierai de filmer pour ce blog.
This is a group of dslr photos, photoshopped (collage, modifications, etc), then I added digital painting.
This photography will be use in next months for a experiment with alternative photographic process (kallitype for this one), I'll try to capture that in video and show it on this blog.

Vieux dessin
Encre et plume. C'est une vieille esquisse à l'encre que j'ai faite rapidement pour conserver une idée et que j'ai retrouvée récemment. J'en ferais peut être un vrai dessin plus tard.

Paranoia
"Paranoïa", Huile sur panneau de bois.
Les reliefs de l’empâtement son fait au gesso, en suivant plus ou moins le dessin. Ils sont ensuite complétés avec la peinture, épaissie par un medium d’empâtement (avec cette recette légèrement modifiée: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3BhRJTFgcc). Puis ils sont enrichis par une couche de glacis transparents, qui sont parfois essuyés dans les relief pour les accentués.

Most of the impasto reliefs are created with the gesso, following more or less the drawing. They are then completed with the paint, thickened by an impasto medium (with this recipe slightly modified: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3BhRJTFgcc). Then, they are enriched by a layer of transparent glazes, which are sometimes wiped out for relief's accentuation.

Les cris du Dedans 1
Modification d'un dessin précédent. Mon projet avec ce dessin (et ses futurs semblables) est de le multiplier, afin qu'ils soit des dizaines et des dizaines à hurler en silence, faisant échos au hurlement solitaire au fond de la tête du spectateur. J'ai rajouter (ou plutôt fait surgir du noir uni créer par l'aplat de fusain) le corps et les cheveux, afin que l'accent mis sur le visage et son expression n'en fasse pas non plus un visage flottant dans l'ombre. Ancrer une réalité physique et pas seulement aller à l'essentiel, puisque ça desservait le propos.

I add (or more precisely, I make it pop out of the black of the charcoal background) the body and hair, so the head is no longer "floating" in the dark tone surounding it. making it physically real et not just going to the essential, because it was desserving the subject.

Fusain sur papier Arches.
L'idée de la fleur est la seul à avoir été réfléchis avant, le reste est improvisé au fil des coups de fusains. Presque comme du dessin automatique.

The idea of the flower was the only one who was thinked before the drawing, the rest of the drawing was improvised, it just pop out of the "random" charcoal lines. Almost like automatic drawing.

Dessin fait à partir d'un vieux dessin préparatoire retrouvé dans un vieux carton à dessin oublié dans un coin. L'idée et le dessin était presque terminés, il ne restait que quelques détails à installés, puis passer tout ça sous la plume. Le support est un papier bristol de Fabriano.

The idea and the drawing were almost finished, there were only a few details left to set, and then all the pen & ink work. The paper is a Fabriano's bristol sheet.
