Les reliefs de l’empâtement son fait au gesso, en suivant plus ou moins le dessin. Ils sont ensuite complétés avec la peinture, épaissie par un medium d’empâtement (avec cette recette légèrement modifiée: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3BhRJTFgcc). Puis ils sont enrichis par une couche de glacis transparents, qui sont parfois essuyés dans les relief pour les accentués.

Most of the impasto reliefs are created with the gesso, following more or less the drawing. They are then completed with the paint, thickened by an impasto medium (with this recipe slightly modified: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3BhRJTFgcc). Then, they are enriched by a layer of transparent glazes, which are sometimes wiped out for relief's accentuation.
